Today I don’t feel like doing anything

I spoke with this guy for about a week and it was all good. We planned to meet up for the first time on a Sunday afternoon.

The day was a little brisk, so I knew I’d be wearing in my new boots.

We said our good mornings via text and I asked what he had planned for the day.

This is how the rest of the conversation went:

Him: “I would love to see you, but I’m lazy.”

Me: “I can’t help you with that.”

Him: “I know.”

Me: “What do you feel like doing?”

Him: “Nothing. But I do want to see you”

Me: “Let’s just meet for coffee. Doesn’t have to be for very long. Just to see if there is a connection.”

Him: “I’m too tired.”

Me: “You know we had decided that today was best for us to meet, right?”

Him: “Yeah, I’m just lazy.”

Needless to say, the date never happened. I talked to him for few more days and when he wouldn't reschedule the date and continued to say he was lazy, I decided to stop talking to him all together. I could tell this was a pattern that wasn't going to fix itself and he was genuinely wasting my time.

This is why you're single:

  1. You waste people’s time and energy…
  2. You are selfish…
  3. You are lazy and don't want to put any effort in dating…

We’ve got to start seeing everyone as human beings on the other side of the screens. People have lives and responsibilities. You are lucky if someone let’s you in. Don’t take that for granted.

Have any time wasters crossed your path? Would love to hear about them in the comments.
